Seems like we’re going to have to finally update our guide on skipping cutscenes since it’s completely irrelevant now…

Anyway, the update for Borderlands 3 lands on February 13 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It raises the level cap from 50 to 53. According to a post on the official Borderlands 3 blog, the increase will come with three skill points for players to use as they see fit.

Perhaps more importantly (to some players), the patch will introduce the ability to skip cutscenes. It won’t matter if players have seen cutscenes before or not. With the new update, every cutscene in the game can be skipped.

Other highlights from the update include True Takedown Mode, Guardian Rank toggling, event toggling, Fight for Your Life improvements, Mayhem 2.0, and Echocast extensions for Twitch. Of course, the normal bug and stability fixes make an appearance as well.

All of this comes ahead of the game’s Valentine’s Day event, Broken Hearts Day.

The full rundown of upcoming changes can be seen on the official Borderlands 3 blog. Gearbox is teasing “more to come at PAX East,” so be sure to stay tuned to GameSkinny for more big Borderlands 3 news as it develops.
